Carbon Bag Legs "Spread"

  1. I have a 2023 carbon bag purchased at the beginning of the season. If I put the bag on my wooden floor, the legs will slipping, slipping slip until the bag falls down, and they're "in a split" like a dancer.

I've moved the sliding plastic retainer that lives on the wire gizmo up as much as an inch or two… But if it gets tight enough to actually do anything, it spits out the wires and "pops off"

So far the best way to get a titan office to use a zip tie under it but yesterday that popped off as well on the golf course. It's almost like I need a two-sided version of that plastic retainer that would hold firm. Is there such a thing?

Here's a picture from someone who's made something like this already. I've emailed him, but he doesn't have any more for sale on eBay.

I don't bother with the fancy fix. I just popped the plastic clip off, moved it up about an inch, popped it back on with pliers, added electrical tape to make sure it would not pop back off, and its working for me. I also find that keeping the bag either flat or upright with the legs retracted when not is use will allow the tension to stay longer. If you store it with the legs out, the tension in the support wires weaken and the leg droop will be more prevalent.
