    I expect the top metal circle to be used to hang a towel but what would this hook be fire in the valuables pouch?

    I have a clip like that in my staff bag and I use it to hold my keys.

    I agree with the majority. Use this clip for your keys. They definitely won't fall out of your bag if you accidentally leave it open. Also the Air Tag is a great idea!

    Wedding ring on clip in the valuables pocket. It is small enough to get lost easier than my car key fob.

    It's a mystery as old as the game of golf!!!
    Me thinks it was created to hang those fancy bag tags from so it can be displayed while playing, and easily tucked out of site when you leave your bag unattended.
