  1. So has everyone seen the pics of the TSR 2 "Mini Driver". Looks very interesting. Wonder if its tour only or actually going to make its way through tour seeding.

Tour only. The next generation of drivers, fairways, hybrids will be releasing this fall so I doubt they would put a different TSR model in production right before the change-over. They might provide a similar model in the new line up, we will have to wait and see. A lot depends on whether they feel that the potential sales numbers will cover the production costs. While they may be good for some better players, the majority of casual golfers will still be better served playing a high lofted driver and high lofted fairway clubs.

Some people just like a smaller head than the current driver. I would rather lose some distance but keep it in the fairway. TM has sold out both Mini driver releases. I heard some chatter that cally may also come out with their own version of a Mini driver. I can see players either replacing their driver on narrower courses or replacing their 3W.

Titleist currently offers the TSR2+ which is essentially a "mini driver". It is offered in 13 or 14.5 degree lofts. It says that it has a larger profile and deeper face than the regular TSR2.

TSR2+ 14.5° is really good... paired with the 1k Black... it's solid, long, consistent and not too big off the deck. Personally, took me a litany of clubs since 910Fd, to find a better 3 wood. TSR2+ is it.

To me that 2w mini driver some of the pros have looks like a smaller TSR4. It has the same weight config (one on the sole near the front, one on the back). While it looks intriguing, I think I'd stick with my TSR2+.

I am hoping they bring this out to retail.
