    Good day all,

I was looking at my stand bag and the left leg appears to be bent a little bit. I was wondering if I should just leave it as it is or if I should try to bend it back to straight. My concerns are that it could get worse through wear and tear or trying to straighten it might make the leg even weaker.

This would not normally be an issue, but it is the Scotty Cameron Pathfinder bag and they are difficult to replace if I mess this up.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have similar issue with my hybrid 5 and bent it back carefully to close to being straight but has not gotten any worse over time. hasn't created any operational issues when carrying and standing so far.

I had the same problem when using a soft travel bag. TSA inspectors shifted the bag where the legs were on the side which means one leg is higher than the bottom plastic base and was easily bent by baggage handlers piling on bags in their luggage tram. My solution was to cut two PVC pipes the length of the legs and slide them on before travel. My ultimate solution ended up being purchasing an SKB hard case for most air travel. I was not able to find a solution to bending mine back as I was afraid the tubing was going to crease and bend worse when I tried to straighten mine. I just played with it bent until I got the Players 4 Carbon with graphite legs. Maybe future stand bags will all switch to the graphite legs over these aluminum ones.

Yeah, those TSA guys have caused me some expensive heartache throughout the years!

If it is under a year old, call SC customer service.

    Thanks all for your responses.

Dale, I think you are right about the soft case, I traveled recently and that must have been when it happened as I usually take pretty good care of the bag.

Chuck, the bage is less than a year old, and I did buy it directly from SC, so I will give them a call. The worst thing that can happen is they say it is normal wear and tear.

I just returned from a trip and the leg on my bag was bent similar to yours (even with a ClubGlove travel bag!). I was able to bend it back fairly straight with no issues.
