I had a draw for years - which at times is an unwanted hook.  I had a tip to loose the interlocking grip I used for 25 years and try the ten finger grip - I thought the guy was nutty.  BUT WOW!  Every shot had a very slight, predictable draw and I made no mistakes with my irons all day - no duffs, slices or hooks...additionally I gained yards on my driver and could shape shots better with the AP2's.  I can't believe the results.

Point is:  Don't be afraid to try different grips...or anything that might be uncomfortable or intimidating...you never know what works in this game!

My dad gave me a tip in 2008 about standing more erect and hitting the ball better.  I used to pull fairway woods and had an awful hook with my driver.   If you flatten your swing with a flat lie angle it produces pulls and hooks also.  The initial unfortunate side effect is that I started pushing or shanking irons (come to find out my lie angle was too flat)

I have a small fade with my driver and hit the fairways and hybrids dead straight.

The best change I've made was going to a more compact backswing with minimal movement of the hips on the way back and then driving through the ball with the lower body on the downswing.
