    Hello

was wondering if anyone could help me out with my launch problem with my driver. I recently became aware of the fact that I have a very low launch angle (below zero) and a very high spin rate. If anyone has any swing thoughts or  drills that could help me out and assist me in getting a little more distance off the tee by fixing these stats. Thanks

Launching under 10 degrees with a lot of spin is most likely a swing fault.  My mishits where I turn my shoulders ahead.  Flattens my swing path, and I'll generally pull it as well.  Your best bet would be to seek a lesson or 2 with a professional.  Alternatively, there are online sites where you can submit a video of your swing.  The pro would also be able to determine if you have the right loft and shaft as well for your swing.  Many amateur golfers pick drivers with not enough loft and too stiff of shafts.  Good luck finding your way way down the fairway.

I think I have been experiencing the same thing and saw a golf tip the other day I am going to try at the range. Spine angle: Your spine bends 4 ways, forward, backward, right and left. Keep in mind that forward and left at impact will result in what you are experiencing (results in driver face coming from outside target line and crossing over target line inside). To launch it higher and with less spin your spine needs to be back and tilted to the right at impact (maintaining your spine angel from address)and you can extend your spine at finish.

Hopefully I have found my driver swing again. The key for me is to stand a little more erect as this is much easier to maintain my spine angle, start my back swing with both shoulders keeping the shaft and left arm in line with one another as long as possible (this helps me make a better shoulder turn where my back is facing the target) and keeping my head behind the ball all the way through impact. When I hit the ball in the center of the club face I get great height and distance. Hits a little off center are playable but not as straight and lower. Use Dr. Scholes foot powder spay on your driver face to see you strike the ball.
