How often is it recommended you check lie/loft on your clubs?  Does Titleist do this for you?  Does Golf Galaxy do this and does anyone know what they charge?  Also I bought my clubs through a course in Illinois and I live in Vegas, so do I have to ship them to that course and then have them ship them to Titleist to do it? or Can  I ship them from any titleist account store or course from Vegas even though I didn't but them there?

Hi Marc,  If you purchased new irons that were custom fitted for you, we will check loft/lie and bend to original custom specs once a year as long as you own your irons.  This service is free, but you will pay shipping charges.  Any authorized Titleist account can set that up for you through our repair department.

Depending on how often you play, most people recommend once a year.  I've never actually had it done with any of my clubs, but I know I should.

That's really a great service that I didn't know about. I just went through a full fitting at Oceanside -- a great experience in itself -- I hope to purchase the clubs themselves in February. Maybe this will become part of my winter golf regime.

Team Titleist scores again!  Thanks. J.A.C.

    Marc,

If you were wanting to get this done, without sending your clubs in to Titleist, I would suggest finding a Titleist advanced fitting centre in your area, as they should also be able to do this for you. Not sure how the cost would compare to the shipping, but you wouldn't be without your clubs for an extended period of time. Ive also been told through the AFC that they take no liability if a iron were to break during the adjustment. Not sure how Titleist repair department would handle this situation..

My Titleist AFC performs this service for a small fee, if adjustment is needed..

The golf shop which I was fitted for my irons and when I preordered my AP2S, provided this service as part of the price of the clubs. Unfortunately they just went out of business. Just can't let go of my clubs for an extended period of time. I play at least three to four days a week. Will have to check with my new fitter and see what he charges. This guy is a certified Titleist fitter. More better. :-)

Seems like once a year is good. I'm curious if loft/lie machines are all the same. I had one guy check and then a few weeks later another and they were slightly different.

I agree with Chuck, I like finding a certified Titleist fitter. I feel more confident... :)

Cathi, I did not realize that! That is a great deal...would there be a cost, assuming they needed to be put back to original specs?

Hi Chris,  No cost for the bending as long as we are bending them back to the custom serial number specs.

Generally, what's the turnaround time for a loft and lie check?
