just because you work at a golf course does not give you experience playing, I would recommend taking a lesson from the pro and get started right

Welcome to Team Titleist! You are taking up a wonderful game and something you can play for many, many years. Since you work at a golf course, you have several built in benefits. First, you have a place to play and practice and secondly, you have the advantage of a pro. If you have a good relationship with your head teaching pro, take some lessons and get started  :)

Welcome to the game & TT. Take advantage of working at a golf course. #1 rule is to have fun! Starting off there are many instructional videos (Michael Breed) that teaches the basic fundamentals, Grip - Stance & Posture - Alignment, and practice them much as you can. I'm sure if the Pro sees you working on your game they will be more than willing to give you some additional things to work on and help you perfect the fundamentals.

Hello Ty, yes, getting with a pro so that you can get fundamentals training will pay off. Stance, grip, swing, the essentials. Working at a course and seeing how folks struggle with the game along with the advanced players gives you an idea of where you want to go with your game. Above all else, have fun.

Find an experienced teacher, trust me! I know, I know a lot of people think anyone at a club can help, but find a veteran. It'll help you more than you can imagine...

Hi, welcome to TT and the game of golf. I would recommend that you start off by taking a lesson or two just to get the basic fundamentals down. These are very important and essential to build off of. Observing other players will only get you so far so if you are serious in taking up the sport, then a lesson is step 1. Other than that, have fun and enjoy.

Cool man, welcome to the game! You're gonna love it, best advice I can give to anyone just starting out is don't take it too seriously and start from the green and work your way back!

take some time putting, chipping, reading greens and getting to know how the ball and the ground react to each other and you'll work your way back to the tee in no time!

    Have fun!

Welcome to TT, you have a leg up on many at the course because you have learned the etiquette of the game by working at a golf course. That is the first lesson for any golfer. Now get out to the range and practice with a purpose!
