Having listened to a recent Titleist podcast, On the Tee with Karen Gray, Starting Your Season Right, I have the following thoughts. I like the idea of setting a goal for the year. I've been struggling in the past few months with putting, especially the short ones, say 5 feet and in. My goal for this year is to reduce my average number of putts by at least three per round. That means getting up and down more often, especially from the sides of the green and the bunkers. If the short putts can be reduced, then my scores will go down and so will my handicap.
