Tbh, Ben, I carry a spray bottle with me to the course. I rarely ever use a copper brush on my clubs, and if I ever use a brush, I use plastic bristles. The spray bottle is use after 90% of my shots. My dad always told me "Si solo te preocupas de mantener tus cosas en orden, nunca tendras que mucho dedicar tiempo limpiar" which translates "If you worry about keeping things in order, you won't spend too much time cleaning". So with that in mind, I try to clean my clubs after everyshot so they're always ready for the next shot, but also I won't have to take time to clean them because they're sprayed after most shots.

I put a little bit of car wash liquid in the bucket and it seems to work well.

I have a nylon bristle brush I use that looks like a toothbrush on steroids. I think I found it in the automotive section as a detailing brush. The bristles are stiff and it does not leave any marks on the club.

When I clean my clubs I start with water and soap cleaning them with a toothbrush, then after I have cleaned all of the clubs and grips. I then use a water/Windex mix (50/50) and spray them down and then wipe them off with a microfiber cloth to ensure that no debris is left on the club itself. I also carry a spray bottle on the course with me with water and soap and use another toothbrush in order to clean the clubs after I have taken my shot. I never put a club in the bag without it being cleaned (saves time) and I always clean my clubs prior to playing even though they are already "clean" I am stuck in my ways and have been doing this for 15 years now.

Get a toothbrush with stiff bristles and a bucket of water. Shouldn't require anything more than that.

I use a golf towel that I wet at the beginning of the round. After each shot, I wipe off the club. Works every time, even without a brush. I have a brush in my bag just in case, but 99% of the time just the wet towel does the trick...

I agree with ScottyC50, keep a wet towel in the cart and wipe off the club after each shot, but I do clean the clubs and grips again once I get home.
