The ball will always spin when you hit it, it’s just the amount of revolutions the ball gets. More revs = more spin. A crisp, clean action, striking down on the ball and not getting any grass etc trapped in between ball and club face will get some spin.

You also could look at the descending angle of shots. If they are coming in flat, they’ll rarely hold where you need. All about height too!

Spin formula is proper technique + premium wedge + premium ball. Knowing that, we can buy 2 out of the three things we need. If you want to spin like PGA TOUR tv, use the same equipment and habits.
