    I have searched google to no end but I wanted to get some opinions from the members here, more personal than reading an article (that may very well be essentially an advertisement disguised as an article).

    In regards to 'at home' practice...what items, gadgets, training aids do you utilize when you do not have the time to make it the driving range let alone a course?

    I'm a single father of three young children and do not always have a chance to take personal time, so to speak.

    I've tried to find things that would not only assist in honing some skills but would also slowly introduce the kids to it in a fun way that they would enjoy as well.

    I have pulled out an old putting practice green that is about 9 ft in length to putt around here and there, the kids love it.

    For you when putting make a gate with two balls either end of the putter. Place a ball and putt the ball through the gate this will make your putting stroke more consistent.

    For you and the kids make a game of it start close and work your way back. Maybe you could aim to miss to give them a chance

    Just got back to the game after several years off

    Less time and limited space can still give you a good work out

    I have a short 8' putting green to work on line and hone stroke. Try for 10 straight 3' putts. Start over if you miss one. Use a mirror to work on shoulder alignment and sometimes set a gate

    Reduced flight foam balls to work on flight and turning the ball side to side

    Use a target to practice chipping 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 yards. Can be a tree or whatever gives me a visual goal.

    Choke down or open face to take a little off between target distance

    For a chipping target just lay down a dish towel flat. Try to get the ball to land on it. Start close then work your way back farther.

    I found a SKLZ driving net at Marshall's for $30 new. It's great for working on full swing, but you don't get to see your ball flight.
    I also have a 9' SKLZ putting mat that is helpful.

    But mostly, i just chip a bucket of balls in the front yard. Target is a camp chair. I'm happy if i can land 2 out of 20 in the chair.

    Ichabod, Keep working indoors on your putting. It will definitely payoff if you put enough work into it.

    Corey, keep practicing, pretty soon you will get 3-4 in the chair and then 5.

    I probably spend a good 30-90 minutes a day putting and chipping now.
    The confidence standing over putts 10' and under now is night and day, from when I started.
    Putting green has been one of the best investments I've made this year.

    I like an impact bag and thick wooden dowel.
    Big mirror for checking positions (no need for full swings)
    Indoor putting mat

    I have really been enjoying the Pure Distance Golf / Drive 400 program. Has overswing module, and a stretching & strength module. Worth it if you can take a full swing indoors somewhere (I do it in my living room with vaulted ceiling). Pretty cheap cost, I found great improvements over the past 9 months using it.

    As a kid I would probably have more game aspect then just putt to this hole and make it fun. For you I would probably pick up a putting mat I just have one that goes to 8 feet good to work on the stoke probably pick up a mat and net I got a flight scope memo off of eBay for $200 I would pick up the Gbox and film your swing

    For my Grandkids, I'll put down a dozen quarters randomly on the den carpet. Any ball they putt that goes closest to a quarter, they put into their paper cup. After 3 rounds, the one with the most quarters wins those on the floor.

    I have a small room that I cannot swing my club. I bought ImpactSnap to swing at home. It gives feedback of releases. You can do it anywhere. I find it very useful.

    Deno, That is a great idea! Getting the kids involved, Money on the line! What's not to like. Kids love it!

    I use the putt out putting matt and cup. i have tried chipping soft golf balls but the feel is not very good.

    Putting mat would be the best way to shave strokes off of your game indoors/at home! I was banned from taking practice swings indoors after I smashed the ceiling fan light globe for the second time...

    Just a simple “Perfect” mat works for me.
