So I normally play a baby fade but recently it's been a HARD fade or even a slice with both irons and (MAINLY) driver. I was curious if anybody has a drill that has helped them or maybe a video that has helped them.

Seems to be one of the most common swing flaws among amateur golfers. . .since I'm not a PGA pro, I'll abstain from offering swing advice but the video I just watched in previous post could certainly address the issue. https://youtu.be/4aj3ufDuaAY

Hi Andrew. My response will be redundant for some TT members because I've mentioned it more than once in this forum. One of my favorite swing thoughts to straighten out shots that either slice or hook, is to think of a large clock, right in front of you as you swing.Slicers swing outside in, and finish the swing at the 11;00 or worse, 10:00 position. Some one who hooks or draws the ball swings inside out and finishes at 1:00 or 2:00.

At the range, try and finish at 12:00 or 1:00, which should produce a straight shot or slight draw. It's a simple swing thought and a great visual.

    Hope this helps.

Go see a pro who can probably spot that flaw in a few minutes. Could be as simple as a grip issue. Difficult to correct any flaw without seeing someone swing the club. With respect. Cheers.....

I fought a slice for so many years. I try to keep one thought in my head while teeing off with my driver. Just keep my right arm tucked in and close to my body. Works for me as I’ve eliminated the slice. I’m no swing expert though. It just works for me and keeps that arm from flying all over the place and not letting me come back over the top.

Hit ‘em straight (or with a baby fade)!
  6. Put two clubs down on either side of your ball aiming out to the right. Take your normal set up and really try and hit the ball well out to the right. You will notice the ball will start out to the right and make it way back to center.

Please take note you will hit them straight out to the right sometimes.

This will give you a better understanding of how to hit a draw and then you can find the middle ground to hit straight hopefully.

    Really hope this helps.
  7. Aim and swing path. I see this all the time, guys will aim left sometimes way left to try to fix their slice and their swing path follows where their feet are aimed (left) with this hard out to in swing path even with a square clubface you will slice it 90% of the time, the other 10% are the hard low pulls to the left. Put a tee or piece of paper or clump of grass about 2 inches right of your ball and about 6 inches towards your target and try to "cover it" on your follow through. It may take some time, but i have seen slices disappear when doing this.

Presuming it's a path issue, try placing a tee just behind and outside of the ball, this will bring your swing inside and hopefully help you hit straighter. Try to swing so that you go through the ball slightly diagonally away from yourself.

This helped me anyway. Good luck.
