  1. Hello all. I am somewhat new to golf ( 2nd year player ). I'm left handed and when I drive from the tee box. I always go left instead of straight. I have tried lesson and recieve tips. Nothing seem to correct my drive. Does everything just come with with practice and playing? Any advice would be welcome . Thank you

When you say left does that mean straight (push) or fade (club face slightly open at impact) or slice (inside out swing and club unable to close square at impact) You could actually be too open at address or too closed at address...

Suggestion: Go to the range and take half swings and try to hit the ball straight, once you have that rhythm in place and have success, increase to 3/4 swings. other than that more information is needed before one can really say what is happening and why you hit to the left.

The other would be get fitted by a Professional fitter & find a certified pro for maybe a few simple lessons.

Three good tips: Lessons and practice what you have learned, lessons and practice what you have learned, lessons and practice what you have learned.........only advice without seeing your swing.....

Do you have this issue only with your driver? If it's only with the driver then it's most likely associated with the club dragging to much (not letting your hands release during your swing). During your next range session try to hit hooks. If you can hit hooks, then from that point you can work on finding the correct amount of hand release during you swing.

try to make a turn with your arm instead of just taking it back, hope that closes the gap between your arms and your body.

Like the others have said it could be several different things. I always try and fix something by doing the complete opposite. If you’re hitting it to the left, purposely try and hit it to the right. If you can do that then it should give you an idea of what you were doing to hit it to the left in the first place. Then try and fine tune what you’re doing and find that middle ground. Good luck!
