Go to the top of the website. Click on "Balls". Then click on "Golf Ball Fitting". Read and use the "Selection Tool" application to get the recommended ball for you, not just based on swing speed.

I just checked out the Bridgestone 5 type selection and it makes me tempted to try the one suggested for me.

If you want to try a B-Stone ball that is your prerogative. I think most players admit they have tried different balls just to see if the grass is greener with the other brand. I've tried several different brands over the years, but always came back to Titleist. Now days my experimentation is within the Titleist family, specifically the Pro V1x, Pro V1 and AVX.

I am a Titleist Loyalist.

I like the consistency of Titleist balls - especially, that they go straight for me (or however I shape a shot). I play ProV1 for distance, but also use all the lineup. Recently, I found some TruFeel balls, and loved them - until 1 split on me. My Pro Shop said I should return it as it is defective and I'd likely get a free sleeve, etc. If I had bought it/them, I'd consider it but I 'found' them - just a weird thing - I'm 71 and do smash the ball for an old guy and I can get 225 even when it started to split, but this one's really unplayable now.

Yep, same here. I have tried several other brands. Although they may have a specific attribute that I like, they usually have some other feature that I dislike. So, I always come back to Titleist. Day in and day out, year round in all playing conditions, the optic yellow ProV1 is my ball of choice. For me....ProV1.....end of story.

Buying a ball based on the average buyer for that ball is so much hooey. I don't always consider myself above average, but never just average. Any serious golfer is going to know the difference from an ionomer cover from a urethane cover. Even at a driver speed of 75 mph, well struck balls and the feel off of the putter face will just feel different.

Going through the Titleist line-up there is a ball that suits one's game. That includes how it feels on being well struck, the launch window, how it can hold a green, and how it feels on the green. Price is another determining factor. Even if Trufeel is "recommended", that's not to say AVX or Pro-V1 won't be a better choice.

Two key factors in ball selection. Pick one and stay with it. Avoid using found balls - you don't know the consistency and 1st Tee will accept them. Use a ball that you can be sure of the quality. Titleist balls come from their own plants. No one does more quality checks, and companies that contract their manufacturing, even less. One thing you can count on with Titleist is the quality is unmatched.

Before the amber urethane balls from Titleist, I went through a bunch of others. Then had bunches to sift through to try to find strengths and weaknesses. Life is too short and I don't play enough golf already to spend time going through ball selections.

Have you tried TruFeel or Tour Soft? Good starting point

For me I know the Titleist pro v1 will do exactly what I require and if it doesn't go where I want it is my fault not the balls
I don't think I have ever seen a poor quality Titleist ball when purchased new

Read this piece on golf balls for slow swing speeds (anything less than 85 mph). It recommends the Titleist Pro V1x which i gave a shot. I have a similar swing speed to you. Tbf, haven't been disappointed. Switched from Titleist TruFeel.

Swing speed isn't the only factor when buying a ball as others have said. Do you want more distance, more spin or softer feel? Or a combination of all? That what the ball selection tool helps you with.

I agree. Whenever I go to get fitted with new titleist equipment, I make sure that I take a new sleeve of Prov1s with me to ensure that we are getting the right fit of driver/fairway/hybrid/irons/wedges and ball. David insists on that. If I do a fitting at an outdoor fitting center with a Titleist Fitting Specialist that lives near me, Billy uses Prov1/Prov1x balls to hit so we are good. His fitting center is in Murrells Inlet, not just around the corner like David's. So I can use both.

That's what the ball selection tool helps you with. Small update to the wording. Who doesn't want more distance, but feel is very important or should I say sound, for me it's with the driver. It's all a mental game for me.
