Would you guys go to Gofltec for swing evaluation or PGA super store? Both are pga instructors just need a tune up before season..?

I personally feel like with Golftec, you get a more detailed trip than PGA. Both great but I enjoyed Golftec more.

I did a Golftec swing evaluation last fall and really liked it. Liked it so much I signed up for a 6 month lesson plan. Now that I'm halfway through with my lessons I can definitely tell a difference in my swing and that I'm hitting the ball a little further and more consistently with each club. Just wish I had more time to work on all the drills they have given me.

Personally, I would find a PGA teaching pro in your area at a club whether it be private, semi-private or public course. I am all about supporting the club pros.

I wish I could but our local club let their pro go a year or more ago and haven’t replaced him!! Really wanted to see a visual of my swing as well.. of course can record with phone but these two places overlay angles and lines to show where you are off..

The pro at a course I play a bunch left there and works for Golftec now. Says he makes more money and gets to do more lessons now. He even worked for a pretty nice public course.

Good question... I personally went to Golf Galaxy and lucked out with the best instructor for me. Since starting lessons with my coach 2 years ago, I've shaved 8 strokes off my handicap. Hoping to get to scratch this year. Good luck!

Nothing against GolfTec but they have a Tour player mindset, very position oriented. That's great if you're in your 20's-30's. It's a good model, geared toward better players. Watch some of their video's. At the Superstore, you're most likely getting a PGA guy with no club affiliation, or between jobs. Ask around, find a local guy, build a relationship over time. All the good players in my circle have a teacher, they're all + handicaps.

I have always enjoyed getting tune up by a pro at a course. In my opinion its best to hit balls outside on turf if possible.

Can't comment on Golftec,I've never been there but, PGA Superstore was great.
