  1. Most of the time when I watch an instructional video, On how to improve a certain shot, It never really shows what the true Saturday or Sunday player can do to improve their scores or technique, Our ball is usually in the rough, not laying perfect in the fringe, Use real amateur players with pro asst , What would be the best way to get out of trouble, Example, I started playing with my best friends little brother, He would top the ball and maybe roll 100 yds with 250 remaining, Then he would pull out a 3 wood, I told him use a 6 I , the pw to hit the green , then 2 putt and get a 5 or 6 , try things like this on every hole, He eventually broke 90 for the first time in a year, And launch monitor in instruction you can do that in a controlled environment, The average golfer can afford a 2500 piece of equipment, But They can still go and learn in a controlled environment

I am the perfect patsy to buy every book written by Bob Rosella. Maybe I should have actually bought one or two and see if he could improve the 6 inches of my game between my ears...

Testosterone is a really hard drug to handle. We all want to show our inner Phil or Jordan and try to make that one heroic shot. The alternative to avoid doubles and triples is to breathe deep and pay attention to course management. Might have to get up and down for par, still beats losing a ball on the next shot.

You offered.a good suggestion to layup. Knowing one's limits and taking what the course gives you is an art that takes time to master...

I don't think many pros offer playing lessons anymore. However having your pro walk with you is great. OK you hit your tee shot in the trees. How are you going to get out? Those are the types of lessons that really help. You can do the mental game by playing the course on the range. 1st hole 460 yards and you usually hit it x yards. Now hit the next club you would hit if you were on the course

I'm a pretty good player, all my lessons are either with a 7-iron or a hybrid. I'm still searching for a more repeatable swing. MOST golfers will never take a lesson, unfortunate as it is.
