12/15/24 - Hole in One Trilogy Golf Club at Power ranch. #11;
On the 11th hole, Zak hit first. From the tee box he looked to be pin high, right of flag on the apron. After he hit I said, 'ok each guy hits it a little closer to the hole then I will put it in'. Guys say stuff. Matt hit his off the green left long. Elrycc hit his into left greenside bunker. I was next. No glove, 8 iron, old Titleist white ProV1 with blue markings on it, not new, full tee pushed into ground. No wind, sunny day. It felt right. I hit it straight and low (normal for me). It hit the green and was tracking to the hole. Matt and Elrycc were excited. They were saying it is going in. I watched expecting close or too far. When it disappeared I thought maybe there was a down slope after the hole and that is why we lost sight of it. Matt was jogging down right side and he said I think it is in. Elrycc said it too. I high fived Zak who was closest to me then hugs and fist bumps and high fives and chaos. Grabbed my 8 iron off ground where I had dropped it and we went to the carts to find the ball. Elrycc videoed me jogging over to the hole. I did not see the ball on the green, no hill to hide it from us. I peered over and saw the Titleist 1 name in the cup bottom. I pointed then smiled and clapped. We were all in shock. I hit my first hole in one! [it was a found ProV1 #1, with blue markings on it, probably refurbished] Zak was short of the cup on the green, not pin high, Elrycc hit his sand shot and hit the flag and got a bogey. Scores didn't matter the rest of the day. I was walking on air in disbelief. Elrycc told our golf friends via text, and sent the video to some. When I put a one down for the hole in the app 18birdies said congratulations. The cart girl came by (timing) and I bought a round for everyone plus fireball shots. We did the shots on the next tee box. After the round Louie texted that I should tell the pro shop so they can register it. I called and they said they don't do that anymore. In the clubhouse I bought more drinks and whiskey shots. I gave my son in law the ball. He said he would do something special with it. Glad it was a ProV1.
