Hey guys I currently game the 2013 Black Mist Newport with no sight line. This is the first year it's been my full time gamer and I'm actually really really enjoying not having a sight line and seeing my putting improve. I pick my line with the "ProV1" logo and try to stroke it to the line I picked with that. I think I've figured out that when I have a sight line I focus so much on the line I kind of forget to hit the putt and leave everything short.

Just curious as to how many others on the #TeamTitleist community putts without a sight line or dot?

Never really been partial to the sight lines...if anything I enjoyed the 2-ball.  That is until I got my Circa 62... I absolutely love my sight dot!! More so a sight circle...    I picked up a NP2 and not enjoying the sight line.  I've never understood why the dots and lines aren't consistent through models or years.   I wish there was a way to remove the sight line and add the circle (not dot)

I picked up a 2014 Newport last year.  I'll admit, I've started to struggle a little without the sight line.  After having some very hot putting rounds early on, as this year has progressed I've struggled mightily with 3 footers.  I've tried using the Jordan Spieth technique of focusing on the hole instead of the ball, but have had mixed results.

It's in my head now, just something I have to work on.

All three of my Scotty's have sight lines and I do use them to line up with once I'm over the ball (I don't use anything on the ball for lining up), but after that I just concentrate on the back of the ball and make my stroke.

I prefer no sight lines or dots, that's why i specifically purchased my Newport select with nothing on it. The clean looks allows me to focus on my target much better.

I'm a big fan of the naked look too.  It "feels free"

I prefer little to no marking and currently am gaming a 009 Beach with just a site dot.

Does anyone know if there is a way to order a "custom" Scotty or essentially a MOTO?

Basically...Ordering a custom putter but current model.

    If that makes any sense...

I believe that you can order a putter and have it sent to the Custom Shop directly to have any of the available modifications made.

Custom is relative...if you mean a different hosel then NO, if you mean your initials on the face then YES...

What custom options were you considering?

    Thanks!

I like the Newport 2 style heads. However I just don't like the sight line. Sure you can send somewhere to mill down or remove paint fill or paint to match putter but regardless the line is still there.  I am looking for a way to get a Newport 2 with ONLY a sight circle (preferably) or dot but NO sightline.  Other than that everything about the putter is fine.
