I have a question for the group. If this has been addressed before please send me a link to the discussion. Two of Titleist's top PGA tour players, Thomas and Spieth both have SuperStroke putter grips on their Scotty Cameron putters. Why doesn't Cameron / Titleist offer Scotty Cameron SuperStroke grips as an option.

  2. Some players are obviously paid to play non-scotty grips. It doesn't happen as often as you would be led to believe. IMHO, Cheers!

SuperStroke also has deals with other manufactures, Oddessey, so I woudl imagine this is exclusive and they have a non-compete to prevent this as a stock grip option.

png also does not offer Super Stroke grips. I believe that both Scotty and png are of the belief that a pistol type curve is more advantageous than the Super stroke type straight grip.
  5. png has grips made by super stroke. Cameron has grips made by golf pride and Winn. Tour guys use what they have confidence in. Super stroke is a good option for players who want a bigger grip without additional weight. Also a good option for those that want to counter balance the putter weight. I installed one on my Del Mar but removed it as the grip was much bigger at the opening and didn’t fit flush against the putter shaft. QC with those grips seem to be all over the place which is why they may not meet SC standards.

I've tried the Super Stroke in all sizes. For me, the SC pistol works best. I feel more in control of the putter head once my grip is set.

  7. I have wondered this as well...especially since the JT inspired limited edition dropped: built to his gamer specs but without the SS grip. I have a friend that put same SS grip JT uses on his JT inspired. It was cool to play around with something nearly identical to what a top pro uses but I didn't care for the grip. Another reminder that grip preference is highly individual.

Tiger just switched to an old-style Lamkin cord grip ... all personal preference I guess!

Have tried the Super Strokes and just did not like the feel and results. Put the Golf Pride SNSR and Pro Only putter grips on my Cameron putters with much better results. It is all about personal preference and results.
