I just started playing with my new Newport putter about 3 months ago, and can't seem to aim it very well. With the grips that came on the putter my hands seem to be the cause of my always burning the edge misses. Like the grip is too big for my hand. Would changing to the grip size of my putter that Iv'e used 20 years quite my hands? Does the weight of the grips change the swing weight of the putter? Love the putter, it's just driving me crazy!

It iwll change the swing weight bu tthis can be adjusted with new weights being added or removed. I use a Super Stroke Flatso 1.0 on my Del Mar and added heavier weights to the sole of the putter.
    Couldn't be happier!

When I changed my grips to a size I was use too I started putting Light's out! Do it! Sounds like what I went through for about 3 months!
  5. Talke a look at the pistolero grip...created to look like a hammer with the flare at the end and keeps my hands very still. Best of luck

Changed my two Newport 2 putters to GolfPride SNSR 104 grips. Love the set up and the feel. I am a senior golfer and the midsize fits my grip perfectly. A good repair shop will set it up for you. Will it guarantee a better putting stroke? I practice and that helps. Also play three days a week. With respect. But the grips really feel good. An old timer I use to play with when I first started playing golf, who was one of the best putter's I have EVER met always told me, in his warped sense of humor, that if I hit it in the hole, it would go in. He did not waste a lot of time looking from a lot of angles, he just had that sense and touch. You know, the Indian not the arrow. Best of luck. cz
