Removing rust from Oil Can finish

    I recently purchased a Laguna Oil Can finish putter. It is in fantastic condition but heavily rusted. I’ve considered allowing the head to soak in a white vinegar and salt solution. Can this harm the original finish? I love the original look of these putters and looking to get it back as close as possible.

    Have you considered having it restored by Scotty Cameron? If you don't want to go that route, you may want to try to soak a small part of the putter and see how it works out. Maybe just go with white vinegar alone to see how things turn out.
