Can anyone suggest another place to get fitted for a new Scotty? I'm on the east coast and the scotty putting studio isn't exactly in the cards.

  2. Great question. Putter fittings are very specialized and thus I would not trust anyone to this important task. You could call the appointment team at Manchester Lane (Titleist) and see if they offer this fitting. You may also be able to do a google search for your region for Titleist places or Club Champion that claim to be specialists in putter fittings.

You could also find, and this may require some work on your part, a club pro in your area that is a good player [check the CPC Club Professional Championship Rankings from this year]. Usually a better club pro that is a good player may be able to offer insights.

The bottomline is this, all this depends on how precise you want to be. For the lie angle most pros will be able to spot this after a few strokes so that your putter sits flat on the ground during the stroke. The second part is the loft, very challenging to get an accurate read without high speed video.

Good Luck, if you do get the chance to visit SoCal the studio is a great option!

    Cheers

Checking with Cameron Showcases, see if one locally is using K-vests and SAM lab cameras to take the guessing out of a fitting. A png adjustable length tool and a mirror is outmoded now.

Where are you on the East Coast? I did a fitting in February at a Showcase location (Palm Beach) and it was eye opening. I had been using a Phantom X 5.5 and he recommended a Newport 2 for my putting style, and I have definitely been holing more putts since I switched.
