  1. I recently purchased a set of 690MB irons - where can I check the serial number to make sure that they are authentic?

On most of the irons the serial number for the set can be found on the 6 iron hosel. If your iron set is custom made to fit you, they may have the serial number on all the irons on the hosel.

  3. Thanks - Is the presence of a serial number proof of authenticity alone, or is there anywhere on-line that I can check it against for further proof?

  4. Does Titleist have an on-line site where a serial number can be checked to verify the authenticity of a set of irons?

    Hi Timo,

Thanks for the post. We do not have an online serial number verification process. Here is a link to our brand protection page that have some more information:

Well Mark, it was 8 years ago... :) You can find the most recent info at the bottom of the page under the "Customer Service" heading. There is a tab for "Product Registration" and "Counterfeit Notification". You will see that under Product Registration that there is no confirmation process as there is nothing to stop counterfeiters from duplicating a serial number. Registering the number mainly allows you to track your clubs for warranty purposes. Hope this helps.

Please note the following from Titleist when you register your clubs:

"Please be informed that registering a serial number does not confirm the authenticity of the product. The only way to be sure that the product is authentic, is to purchase your Titleist products from an authorized dealer."

Does serial number on my Phantom 7.5 verify the putter or the shaft. I pulled the sticker with the AP…..so I’m not sure if it’s authentic purchased used from RockBottom Golf.

The serial number is for the putter.
