I love walking in the fall in New England...the cool air, the foliage, its amazing. I recently played my home course with my 4 wheel push cart on what is a very hilly course. It was brutal, pushing a cart up the hill, trying not to slide down on downslope made it tough to use the cart...legs were burning. I played again the next week with my Scotty Cameron Sunday bag and walked with ease, it was amazing (other than having to rest my bag on the ground). What is your opinion on this when walking...light bag vs push cart?

Like you have found it depends on the course. I push mainly at my home course and will switch up to one of the sunday bags I have if I will be playing a course with more rolling terrain or that is not conducive to a push cart.

At any time you are able to walk and carry, I'd say that's the ultimate in playing golf. I could probably still do the sunday bag with less than 14.

Though I agree walk and carry is good, if I had the option (and money), I would say walk and have a CADDY CARRY, is the ultimate in golf! ;-)

Doug, yes, you are correct with your reply. Pardon mybad though I was only referring to an ultimate regular day of golfing :-) ...not an excuse for what I've made mistake on, just an explanation.

I still prefer to walk and carry and do as often as I can. The last time I used a push/pull cart was at Prestwick in Scotland as no caddies were available. After 3 holes I abandoned the cart as I couldn't stand it and carried the rest of the round.

No idea why, but it's much easier for me to carry than push a cart

My walking days are behind me but when I was able to, I preferred to carry.

My teenage son gives me a hard time about using the 4-wheel push cart but I still prefer it over carrying in almost all situations.

I almost always walk and carry with a lightweight bag. Glad you discovered its joy!

I bought a CG 3.0 and added all the accessories to it, I think I have used it 3 rounds, just easier for me to carry.

I use a three wheeled push cart. I have a png Hoofer carry bag on the push cart and don't keep the bag weighed down. I find that the lighter weight the bag, the overall easier it is to push the cart up the hills. My cousin uses a push cart, but has a heavy cart bag filled with junk and he struggles up the hills sometimes.

Push cart for me, I have a stand bag for travel and a cart bag for club. Push cart lets me use either bag depending on what my clubs are in!

I like to carry my Players 4 Plus bag most of the time but on some Sundays after a late Saturday night... I employee my push cart.

Three wheeled push cart all the way with my mid-size staff bag. Only the necessities in the bag.....no umbrella and only seven balls. My carrying days are over.
