Tour Player Takes on the Titleist Script

Over the course of a typical work day, a PGA Tour player looks at hundreds of golf balls. From the new dozens in his locker, to the shag bags on the practice grounds, to the sleeves waiting in the ball pocket of his staff bag, the pros tee-up, hit, chip and putt hundreds of balls each and every day. And for the players who trust their games to Pro V1 and Pro V1x, the script of the Titleist logo is there to greet them – every shot they play, every day they clock in.

But for all that familiarity, how many players could actually pen the Titleist Script? Find out in the video above.

And just in case you were curious about the background of this video, we shot this at last year’s BMW Championship while we were working on some other content (coming soon) for different campaigns. At shoots like this, we try to add a little wrinkle to create some unique content and to keep the day fun and loose for the players. In 2017 we had players spin the wheel to show off their shot-making skills in our Team Titleist Closest-to-the-Pin Challenge. In 2018, we created a golf obstacle course and tested their creativity and versatility in our #ProvingIt Challenge.

This year we wanted Titleist players to share in a little piece of our history and heritage. And telling the story of Helen Robinson, the woman responsible for the signature of our brand, was an easy place to start.

Take a closer look at some player renditions of the Titleist Script in the gallery below:

I tried to give it my best shot...While doing so, I started to think how lucky I have been to have met all of the great people across the Acushnet family, more specifically Mike & Rick. I attached my effort and embedded it into a small collage from some pics that were special memories to me.

Thanks for another great post and insight on the Titleist Brand Ambassadors.

Have a great holiday season, Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Will get a chance to enjoy the logo on hat, balls, clubs, bag, and TT ball marker this next week. Going to FL with clubs, and wife. Fortunately, Helen had better script writing than me.
