If anyone has played at a course regularly, then surely you've seen the majority of familiar faces and after a while you'll get to know them sooner or later. Some of you may be in a Men's Club or Ladies' club, or a private club. I think it's a great place to be- membership or non-membership. A pool of golfers in a room- could be a casual or formal. I must say, I was accustomed to a more casual setting and it was good and memorable.

Top of the morning is a great scene around the practice putting green and the range while everyone prepares to go out, but it is after the round that interest me this time. One of the things I am asked often at the clubhouse while having a meal or a drink after the round is, "How'd you play?", and I'm thinking of a way to start a thread that brings everyone together and participate in it for fun and giggles :-)

Anyway, a few weeks ago I was away for a week of golf with some guys who gets together for a week of golf down in the Palm Springs area and in the summer time we go over to Indiana where half the guys are from. It never used to be difficult on my body, but I have to admit, I think I was beat, and tired and felt old (lol). I played well for the first three days and then everything except my scores went south for the remainder of the week.

So I promised myself that I'll be taking a break to recoup and recover. But then the following weekend, on that Saturday morning, I saw that the weather would be a high of 72 with winds topping only at 6 mph. (It's a good thing it wasn't a year's resolution...) so I gathered my Titleist equipment and grabbed the electric powered buggy for walking and all the fun began on the first tee all the way to the 18th hole.

Ambitiously, I'm planning to set aside an hour a day to get back into shape again! It's what good rounds does to me :-)

The bes part of golf is the camaraderie that is amongst fellow players. Sounds like your trip was worthwhile, keep on grinding!
