  1. In 2017 I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease . I have been an avid golfer since I was 15. The doctor said play as much golf as you can. So I play at least 9 every day. During the season. It’s also good to be social with like people going through the same thing . So I’m calling out to all the golfers that are in the same boat with me so we can start a thread to bounce stories, ideas, suggestions off each other, a kind of Titleist support group if you will. Who knows we might be able to get a group together and play a few holes.

Hopefully, Ralph, you've got it under control as much as can be expected and will continue to play regularly for years and years to come. I do believe that Michael J. Fox has really helped to raise awareness and consequently make some progress towards a cure, or at the very least, better meds to fight off the symptoms. That is my perception anyway. You would know better.

I've met a couple others over the years who have had the disease and was pleasantly surprised to see just how well they each did with golf clubs in their hands. Amazing, considering their situations. I don't know your specific situation, but I can only hope it's manageable and trust you'll do everything you can to maintain a good quality of life, and live it to the fullest. Playing golf everyday is a great start. If you're close by, we should play a round or two. I'm in MD.

No one knows what may lie ahead for themselves, me included. I just may need some support myself someday. So, though I am not one of those golfers who is in the same boat with you as far as Parkinson's goes, I wanted to reach out and extend my support anyway. We're a Team here at TT, and you're part of it.

I will also keep your story in mind the next time I complain about a bad day on the golf course. Gotta keep things in perspective.
  3. Doug, thank you for the kind words of encouragement and support. It’s funny, my fathers family lived in the Baltimore area, so I have many great memories of my times in MD. If your on Facebook, look up PUTTS FORE PD. I turned a negative into a positive. I teamed up with some others and started a non-profit. We raise money for the Michael J. Fox Foundation. This is our third year . To date we’ve raised over $17,000. Thanks again
