No doubt hole out for eagle twice a year. "I've never had an ace but I've had 80 hole-outs from the fairway for eagle" is a great claim to fame for 70-year-old Allan.

I suppose that holing your tee shot on a par three is, in fact, an eagle as well as an ace. Been too many years since my last eagle (2006) and longer since my last hole out for eagle. Haven't managed an ace so far - it's because some people I know have a handful of them.

In my caddie days, I helped select a club for a number of aces and saw many others. Some were great shots; others ricocheted off mounds before going into the hole. No one ever declined buying drinks, though.

Holing an approach for eagle 2x a year would be insane, even more so that a once-in-a-lifetime, lucky shot. Can you imagine the suspense wondering when it will happen, especially if you are near the end of the season and have only done it once (or not at all)?

Good question. It is hole out for eagle twice a year for the rest of your life versus only one hole in one for ever? If that's the case it's two eagles for me. I'll live with never making a hole in one.

I've had a hole in one, so I'm going with the eagles. I'd also love an albatross...I think that's even harder than a hole in one...

Hole in one...but if it’s on any hole I choose then a short par 3 so it’s an albatross and cross off 2 on my bucket list. I have a twin brother who golfs as well, and although I beat him 9 out of 10 times he has an ace and lords it over me every chance he gets...drives me nuts

Hole out for Eagle is my choice, I've been closer to that that any chance of an Ace in my lifetime so far...

Eagle twice a year. More money won with the eagles than a single hole in one. But that also comes from one who has the hole in one and the Albatross ;)

Since I already got an ace last year, I would take the eagles.

Hole out for eagle for me. Maybe if I only play my club championship and nothing else all year, I have a chance to win. I'll just spend the rest of the year on the range

I've been playing for 50 years without a hole in one so that's what I'd go for. I have holed out from the fairway for an eagle (just once though).

I used to want to get a hole in one with three conditions - a good shot, a clean Titleist ball (that would look good mounted somewhere) and seeing the ball going in the hole.

Now I'd take a blind shot with a lucky bounce off a cart path and a damaged ball!

Seeing that the eagles will fly twice per year I’ll go with that. I think I can live with never having a hole in one. But when I die since I’ll have unfinished business of never having had one then I’ll haunt a golf course searching for my hole in one.

Without question, hole out twice a year. I've been fortunate enough to do it a couple times over the years. An amazing experience and feeling.

I’d take those eagles over the ace any day. Bragging rights on the ace is nice. But beating my buddies every week is more rewarding.

Eagle me please...

Having holed out from the fairway several times for eagle on both par 4s and par 5s, as well as having a couple of one putt eagles, and four holes in one, it would be a difficult choice for me. I missed an albatross on a par 5 by about two inches, so I'd really prefer one of those a year over the two eagles guaranteed. I still believe I can score some eagles all on my own.
