  1. I was getting stir crazy with the self distancing, so decided to call my dad and brother to squeeze in 9 holes, they both couldn’t so I decided to clean out my garage, early jump on spring cleaning. I have all my stuff out and my neighbor comes out to get ready to head to his country club that just opened. He had a member cancel the 4some he was in and asked if I wanted to play...me sized cloud of smoke a la cartoon and seconds later was driving to his club Racebrook CC. We get to hole 9, and Teddy my neighbor is playing like a man who was knocking rust off (we have all been there). We had a par 3 about 190 that you cannot see the whole green with a right to left break on most of it. Teddy wasn’t getting the distance he wanted so he took a driver and played a self titled “butter cut” that went right to left and looked good but couldn’t see the ball land due to the hill that blocks the view. We all hit and come up short (cold and windy) and drive up and can’t see his ball, figure it is long due to driver. I jokingly tell him to go to the hole to look and he freezes over it...it was an ace with a “butter cut” driver! Friends busted his chops for hitting driver and members told him too bad it didn’t count as member season didn’t technically start...just boys being boys with jealousy. Worst part is with the virus we couldn’t even hug it out high five, etc. I’ve never seen one before live so this was pretty cool to witness. Took a pic of his card shortly after, just a fun story I got to be part of early in the season.

Very nice of your neighbor to invite you to fill in. I never got to witness my own hole in one, as the cup was on the back of a green that was higher than the tee box and itself sloped away from the tee box, I also believed I had rolled off the back of the green, still one day I will get to actually see one, mine or someone else's it does not matter.

That’s a great story! I’m sure his heart skipped a few beats when he looked in the cup and saw it sitting there. I’ve never witnessed a hole in one and I’ve come close twice, ball hit the stick twice within two weeks but kicked off and didn’t drop in.

Awesome sight. Too bad that they cannot the hole in one. Unusual. With respect, guess rules are rules. Have seen two and have had three.
