At 7pm, PGA Golf Club closed on April 2nd for an indefinite amount of time. 2 of our members tested positive for COVID-19. Although neither was on the tee sheet in the last 30 days ( probably snow-birds that headed back ) the club, in an abundance of caution, decided to shut down the entire operation. Golf course maintenance will continue, but that's it. Struck my last putt at 5:40 pm yesterday. Hopefully it won't be too long before I strike the next one. Stay well everyone and take this situation seriously.

  2. Good thread!

Yes, the event was even more special knowing it will be a while before us TT folks gather up again.

Man i am just so disappointed for every golfer out there, not having a place to partake in their passion. What a sad time. The only way to get through is realize we are lucky to be alive and have the hope that better days are in our future!

It was DST 4:38 (or near that time) in San Diego's Maderas Golf Club where our las putts dropped. Yes, I was in doctor K's group on March 8th. Looking back, I am very glad I made that outing.

We are still playing here at Camp Lejeune. One person per cart, or walking. Only 2 people in pro shop at a time , yellow footprints on the carpet to make sure social distance, no touching of flagsticks, pool noodles in the cups so the ball can be rolled out with putter , no rakes in bunkers and all carts sanitized when they are returned to the cart barn, credit cards only and the snack bar is closed

East Ohio is game on although the weather has not been the best this year with lots of rain. My 9 holer I play almost every day is having about average play. Fairways and greens are in early season shape but the pine trees lining the fairways have all died for some reason, 100's of trees dead, sad. They are doing one player per cart and they have put Styrofoam rings on the bottom of the flag sticks so the ball doesn't drop to the bottom of the cup. They have always used a mail box to pay a greens fee for the non-members. They had benches out then they took them back in so I'm using my push cart that has a seat, wish the benches were back out.

Fortunate here in NC that courses are still open. I've not been playing to stay on the side of caution. However, the course I belong to is having higher than usual number of rounds for this time of year due to kids out of school and the number of people not working.
