I don’t have one but if I were not buy one I’d look into the Mevo. I’ve seen some great reviews on those.

I keep hearing really good things about the Mevo's.

I’ve heard FlightScope Mevo is the best option and it’s reasonably priced. Pretty small so it’s easily portable, and it gives you all the info you need.

That is what I keep hearing too.
  5. I have a sky caddie Sc300. Once you get it positioned correctly, it is great. Pairs up w app and tracks practice session. Currently on sale. I found the carry distance to be pretty accurate.

I was reading the reviews on those and most people seem to be very happy with them.

I have the Mevo and I really like it, the app that you use on your phone or iPad to see your results is really good. I've tested it against my instructors Trackman for an entire session and we saw some fairly consistent results for distance. Spin rate was pretty consistent using shorter irons. Flightscope has been having weekly Q and A webinars on the Mevo and Mevo+ that have been very informative. The difference between the Mevo and Mevo+ is pretty significant in features as well as price point($500 v. $2000). But if you looking for a basic launch monitor at a reasonable price, I can definitely recommend the Mevo, when setup correctly it will give you pretty accurate results. Here is screenshot of my setup.

Mevo right now seems to be the better one of the reasonably priced units, I heard a lot of good things for the Skytrak units too, but way too expensive.

Might check this out for some recommendations. I do not use one. I play with my golf coach once a week when I play and do not spend a lot of time on the range. He watches me in my warm up and makes recommendations before we go out. Play with other friends two to three other days of the week. That helps me more. Honestly, I am more into golf management of my shots than numbers. With respect good luck into finding one that meets your needs. golfpracticeguides.com/.../

Thank you for the information, Chuck, I do want to get a coach and get playing sessions, after this whole COVID-19 pandemic ends.

First time poster, I actually just got a pretty sweet setup. My wife bought me a nice portable net and a turf piece and I bought the SC300. Seemed to be fairly accurate with distances and could tell difference between a miss hit and good contact so I was impressed with that. I would recommend the launch monitor to anyone. My neighbor was definitely jealous of the set up!!

I keep reading good things about the SC300s too, I do wish that I could go to a store and hit balls with both SC300s and Mevo units to see which one I like it best before buying it.

    We have the Rapsodo.
It's a pretty amazing little device...Only draw back is that you need to use it outdoors.
The device needs to see the ball travel over 50 feet for it to capture all the data you will geek out on!!!

I did look them up, the only drawback for me, it is only IOS compatible right now. But it seems to be a great unit for practice rounds.

I have a MEVO and find it works quite well. I have used it right next to a TrackMan and the numbers track pretty well, just less data.

I just realized that it seems like the Mevo also only works with iOS right now.

I don't own a portable launch monitor, but I'd probably go for the Garmin Approach G80.

Some of the popular golf YouTubers did reviews on it, all pretty positive for the price tag.

I've been using the SC200 for about two years, and it's pretty good for the price and provides you with the basic info.

That said, there was a recent buyersguide published by one of the big golf forums on all the personal LM's and I was impressed with the Rapsido's results and will most likely pick that up as it seems to do more than the SC200 and it should as it's a couple hundred more.

  21. I use a mevo and mevo plus.
Mevo is palm size and can take to the range easily. Easy to turn on and connect to your phone. But is lacks some data which I want to check for myself eg AOA. Plus no graphics on ball flight. But goo battery life.

Mevo plus gives a lot more data and has sim with 5 free for life courses. A lot more fun but 4 times the price of mevo. It’s not too big that you cannot put into your golf bag to take to the range if you want to. But to turn on and connect takes some time compared to Mevo. Plus the battery life sucks so I have to use it with a powerbank.

But if I have to choose one I will still go for mevo plus.
