    ‪Moving forward during a pandemic will golf courses eliminate club rentals as part of the new normal? Will this be part of the long term golf world...no more rental clubs?

    I think a lot of things are over reactive. I believe that golf courses will temporarily be "different" than they used to be, but eventually will be back to the "normal" operations. I think people need to be smart in general, but not everything can be prevented, just guarded against!

    Ours for now has eliminated rentals. I have been forced into rentals a few times while traveling and they have never had Titleist clubs available. Have had a hard time adjusting for feel and didn’t play well at all. Probably a good thing for me if rentals went away for good. My guess is they will just advertise a extensive cleaning of the rent clubs.

    Gosh, I would hope they cleaned them pre-COVID-19, and this will suffice after cleaning and disinfecting even now.

    Think about this...
    Hopefully fitting centers develop a sanitizing process to clean the thousands of clubs in their libraries.
    Do you clean just the grips or do you need to clean the whole club?
    You could autoclave the clubs but that may have a negative impact on components and their durability.

    I would hope not. It’s easy enough for clubs to be disinfected after someone uses them. Once this is all behind us I hope to get back to traveling and plan to rent clubs wherever I go. I would bring my own clubs but when you’re traveling all over other countries it would be cumbersome to bring them.

    Do not do rental clubs, for the reasons Dale mentioned. I play fitted Titleist clubs and when I travel I want my clubs. I have a hard case and mine have been all over the world with no problems. They travel as regular luggage on Delta.

    Maybe they will bring rentals back, I just prefer to pack my own clubs on trips unless its a cruise (and won't be doing any of those)! What I dont get is shoe rentals, now thats just unsanitary in it biggest form!

    Why not just have a cleaning solution of 10% simple green and water to glean the clubs, dont seem like it should be that hard!

    I have never rented clubs in my life...but in my youth working at golf courses I can attest that the rental clubs were in fact nasty...the things you would find left in bags were simply gross...and those ice slick grips crusted with every hackers DNA for the last 3 golf seasons...oh the memories!!!
