I managed to get my 13 year old daughter out to the range again this Saturday. That’s two weeks in a row. She still isn’t willing to give up any dance or volleyball time for golf but she’s at least willing to hit the range with her old man. I told her I’d get her a set of Titleist sticks and some pink & purple Titleist caps if she’d be willing to play more.

That’s the good stuff! Anytime you can get to spend quality time with your your tween-age daughters is time well spent! I have 2 and cherish every breath with them because I know my time Left with them is eroding like the mountains...

Yes sir! I like it when she wants to tag along. I have two daughters as well. My youngest is 4. I’ve tried to take my oldest daughter’s first set of clubs out in the backyard to let her try them out. She just runs all over the place hitting the ball and if I try to help, it’s usually just “I do it myself”. She’s little miss independent.
And I’m totally with you on enjoying every possible moment. My wife and I had a son that passed away. He would have been 8 last week. Losing him taught me to enjoy every second!
Neither of them may turn out to love golf as much as I do but that’s okay. The occasional tag along to the range or a trip to a par 3 course is just fine with me.

Sorry about the sideways pictures. I’m not sure why they are getting turned that way after being uploaded.
  5. Cherish these moments. I have a 6 year old who just graduated “lil acers” in our local course and now will attend camp a year early...so proud of her! Golf makes you understand many aspects of life, such as politeness, sportsmanship, patience, and numerous other lessons. Awesome to see the youth take to the game and grow what we love!

It's always special to spend time with your kids, I have 6 all grown now. 5 Daughters 1 Son (#4 on the list) but they all grew up fishing Bass Tournaments & are very good anglers. Something they can do the rest of their lives. I have 1 daughter who took up golf, but like many of us she has 2 young children & doesn't get near get clubs anymore because of this thing called life.

Enjoy them and cherish every moment,

It is! I live about 15 miles south of Cincinnati. I had two ranges that were closer but they’ve both closed down so now I head out to 3L to get my swings in. I’m guessing you lived in this area at some point.

Grew up in Edgewood and lived in Taylor Mill for my first 40+ years before moving to MI in 2013. Still have a very large family in NKY and get back there 4-5 times a year. Kenton Co, Boone Co, Lassing Pt, Summit, Triple Crown, Ft Mitchell, Blue Ash and a few others were my regular tracks back in the day! Spent many hours on that range...

Love it, my Son is 25 and we have been golfing together for 20 years, minus some time when he was it high school and college but its a game for life
