The start of the year didn't look promising with the pandemic and courses being closed until further notice. Honestly didn't know what was going to happen and boy did I miss playing during those down times. Now we're in August and probably have a few good months left before our season is done and man what a great ******n year it's been. Not b/c of scoring or handicap, for ONCE I followed my goal; JUST HAVE FUN. I've been working from home since March and I've been able to get out quite a bit and it's been nothing but fun. I have some good days and plenty of bad days but didn't bother me one bit. Record the score and move on. I'm simply out here playing with some great friends, laughing, drinking, making some birds and even made an eagle which is rare for me. All I can say is, it's about damn time I'm sticking to my goal and having fun.

Those 3.5 to 5 hour rounds have been very enjoyable this year and very lucky to play this game. And the 19th hole, outside and being safe is always a beautiful way to end a fun round. Why I love this game.

And 2 things related to Titleist -Titleist AP3s are simply the best irons I have ever played. It's going to be VERY hard for me to get rid of them. I may have to go on eBay and buy a back up set. -Titleist Carbon golf bag, SOOOOOOO GOOD! IMO they really hit a home run with this golf bag and I'm enjoying this bag A LOT!

Hope everyone is having a great year as well. Cheers, Peace and Love.

Bravo Speedy. Unless you're making you're living by playing golf, why do it if it isn't fun?

I'm glad you've enjoyed yourself this year. Thank God for golf, as it's provided us with a few hours to forget about all the crap going on in the world. I've been having fun, too. Mrs. D and I will be playing nine in another hour, having a coupla barley pops and a fish fry afterwards.

It sure has been a weird season, what with all the changes in how businesses are operating, etc.. The golf courses around here are setting records for rounds played. Mrs. D and I get in nine occasionally after work and it's been harder getting on because it's so busy.

Our men's league has been tee times instead of a shotgun. It's spread everyone out, which in some ways is good, easier to get a spot on the range for pre-round warmup. But also it means you don't see all of the guys afterwards.

Speedo, have played twice since the first week of December but like you have had fun......with all that is happening we have a lot to be thankful for and lots of rounds ahead of us. Just one regret, that I could not make the trek to Oregon this year. Hoping my health will allow me to join you guys in 2021 and next year's courses make arrangements for those of us who cannot walk eighteen holes. Miss sees all the gang and all the good times. Bet I do not have twenty rounds on my new T300s and they are a sweet club. You hit the nail on the head, golf is about having fun......no worries

I agree completely on the AP3 irons. Never have I been so satisfied with a set or irons.

We need to share positive messages such as yours. I totally agree with you. It's been fun to be out there in the golf course even if I am not playing that well.

As for AP3s, I am with you there. I just can't get enough of them, however, I have considered looking at the T-series to compare numbers. Just to compare :)

Speedy I will up it a notch. This past Jan. I stopped recording scores on the GHIN and have been playing so much better. Guess there is no pressure anymore. Cheers.

Great message Speedy! I'll try my best to have some fun next time I play...I know it's not for money and I'm not playing "against" the person I'm playing with...it's my wife and she definitely knows how to have fun on the course.

Speedy, you are right on the money. By the way, Carl's Golfland has AP 3's, 4-GW with AMT Black shafts, Reg. or Stiff. Better than messing with ebay. Carl's is very reputable.
