Yeah Bruce, I got an email from them too. I guess I got on their mailing list after playing there a few week's ago. Looks like our Monterey weekend was timed just right as we got in and out before the fires popped up. Crazy how many and how big they are right now. Hopefully the weather changes soon and they can knock them out. Still several months away from getting any rain help. Stay safe up there.

I'm glad that you got in and out before the fires started. It has been really bad with the fires and we've had a spare the air alert for more than 20 days in a row and now we're getting record heat. I see that SoCal is also getting record heat too.

Yep, it hit 115 in Escondido both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday a water valve tied to the fire sprinkler system blew up in he garage. Had to shut off all water to the house and an hour later the electricity was shut off for 4 hours during the peak of the heat wave. Luckily found a plumber and got it patched. Valve was short of the pressure valve so 100+ lbs water pressure blew through he garage wall and soaked the garage. Thankfully not in the house. It was the only thing good about my Maui acation being cancelled. We would have been out of town and no telling how bad it would have been if I wasn’t home at the time. Our Alpine fire is getting pretty bad but far enough south of us not to worry yet. You guys stay safe up there too.

Sorry to hear about your fire sprinkler system blowing up but good that you were able to find a plumber. It's always sad cancelling a vacation but as you said no telling how bad the fire sprinkler system blowing up would have been with you away from home.
Yesterday in the Bay Area the sky was orange the whole day which I've never seen in my 68 years. It was scary looking.
