-Sadly, no trips this year with Covid going around.
-Best purchase of the year, by far, was my new Scotty Cameron 2015 Holiday Edition Roundback. What a sweet putter!
-Best shot was a 360 yard drive onto a par 4 to about 8 feet and sunk the putt for a 2.
-Strangest shot I saw was a player hitting his approach shot into a par 5. He hit it long and flew into the back trap, where it hit the rake, bounced back onto the green and into the hole for an eagle. Gotta love golf!
  8. Hi Mike:

Unfortunately no golf trips, but did play a few new tracks
    New Carbon Bag, New Shoes
Not really one shot, but looking at a scorecard with (6) 4s in a row was the best golf this year.
Still have a couple of months left at least

Did you get the fj carbon shoes? I did and those things are awesome.

  10. Did not but will give them a try next time around.

    Thanks,
  11. My August was pretty fun I must say. Went to Massachusetts South Shore to play golf at a few courses that are near and dear to my heart in the Plymouth area and played first time with my daughter and my father her grandfather at the same time (three generations). We got to check out a top golf facility which was exceptionally fun, and as far as new gear goes upgraded my driver and 3 wood to the new TS2 series and I’m loving it paired with the new tour speed golf balls that dropped this month. Actually now that I see this all in writing I think it’s time to give the wallet a break come September!

My games been up and down, but coming around lately. Yesterday shot 73 in league play. 20-25 mph winds made it a little challenging. 530 yard par 5, drive hit a tree and came back towards the tee. Second shot with a hybrid into the lake. Drop and hitting 4 at the hazard crossing point, 174 into a 2 club wind, smoke a 4 iron [normal 190 yard club], wind did it's trick, landed and rolled to 8', made the putt to save par. 4 iron was the shot of the day!

Nice, those are the shots that keep you coming back for more. I hit plenty of trees and it almost always bounces back in the fairway, and my Son just goes "Unbelievable...How do you do that" LOL Pure luck

My new TS3 driver and hybrids came in along with my 54* and 58* SM8s! Just in time to give me a month to practice and break them in before our club championship at the end of the month.

August seen me playing 3 straight days which I had not done in several years. My swing is getting back to normal. No trips, did get a new TT ball mark, alignment stix on the TT drop that happened in August (wasn't it August?) but other than that nothing stellar. Looking forward to a Titleist Thursday Fitting this fall for driver & fairways.

Best of August: My wife and I played at Pete Dye River Course at Virginia Tech and then Goodyear in Danville, VA. Goodyear's carts were plush and equipped with a Covid-deflecting heavy plastic curtain separating driver from passenger. Good for my wife who wasn't able to hear all my expert "teaching" that well...

No trips, working a few golf events, doing my PT at the clinic and at home. Trying to stay cool here on the coast, where it trying to hit a 100 (actual temperature). Our course is supposed to reopen the end of October, if the temperatures stay warm. Otherwise the fairways could be thin during the lack of needed grown in time. Cart path only for the first year. Maybe I can hit the links around Christmas when it a bit cooler. My goal. Hoping to maybe to go to Asheville around the first of the year for an art auction, my other bad habit. Was supposed to go in August but was cancelled due to strict rules in NC regarding COVID. No worries, we will make it thru the roaring 20's......if everyone is very cautious......
