T300 irons scratching

    Have had clubs for one day after practicing about an hour hitting approximately 60 she balls off Bermuda grass and the sole of clubs have scratched up enough to take away shiny chrome finish. Anyone else have same issue? First picture off full set day of purchase 1 March 2021. Second pic clubs after practicing on same day

    Could be a lot of sand underneath, which is on most driving ranges. They use it to fill in all the divots from all the usage. Bought mine when they first came out and they have a tendency to do that, but look good when I clean them with water and a towel.

    No sand wasn’t on and have not been on a driving rang all from dormant Bermuda grass in a yard.

    You must have removed the protective plastic coating?... Seriously though, normal for chrome finished irons. They are tools. Check out the bag of any tour pro and you will see extreme wear and even some lead tape now and then.

    I figured there would be some normal degradation of the shiny chrome just didn’t expect so quickly. Protective coating? don’t believe there is protective coating. These were hit same day I purchased. Thanks.

    The picture is not the most clear but looks like normal wear and tear and nothing out of the ordinary.

    Do you live in an area with sandy soil? If you do, then I would expect what you are seeing.

    Nothing to worry about...normal "wear and tear" as they say.

    Looks normal to me. After all, we DO use these these clubs on turfgrass which has dirt underneath. In the case of those of us who live in warm weather grass states, the brillo-like Bermuda which has a sandy soil underneath will abrade the sole even more than Northern grasses and soil.

    I agree with the above. If you’re hitting off Bermuda grass, then the soil is most likely sandy. That will cause the wear you are seeing. If it gets worse or starts to accelerate, I would show them to your retailer or Titleist rep.
