Well coming up on one year of playing golf. Finally stopped leaning back with my iron and my scores dropped. Shot a 108 last weekend and a 54 on a the front 9 today. Lots of work left to be done but excited for this year and the possibilities

Congratulations. Progress is a good thing and am happy that you are reaching your goals and are pleased with the results. We all have our goals and expectations. Just the opposite here. After working hard after recouping from surgery and PT (1 year away from the game) and finally shooting a round in the high seventies. Thought that there was a light at the end of the tunnel and not an oncoming train. I have move up to shooting in the 90's for the past few weeks. My instructor is out due to pulmonary issues and in rehab. Know it is an alignment and tempo issue, but need his professional advice and tune up. He knows my game and I can count on him. I never know who will show up when I play now, Dr. Jekyll or My Hyde riding that train. Birdies, pars, double boogies, triple boogies, you know, playing bipolar golf testing the mental side of my game lately. No worries, I know time is on my side and I just need to bite the bullet and try to remember my most recent lesson. Golf should be fun and that is something I have to remember when my scores start soaring. It is only a game.

Congratulations! Yes, the dreaded reverse pivot is a killer. It's good to hear you removed that from your swing. Keep at it and you'll break 90 in no time.

It’s amazing how quickly you can drop your scores with fixing your technique and finding out what works. I’m sure you’ll be breaking 100 sooner than you think! Biggest thing to focus on is that short game and the flat stick! Good luck on your season!

Good point on the flat stick. Most high handicappers have a lot of three putts and if they can eliminate those during their rounds that takes away 18 strokes off the top, if that is happening on every hole. It takes time but those numbers will come down with a little work.
