And that's how I handled an order

So I see a lot of posts about ordering delays and such. So here's my experience with an order.

Back on Feb. 10th, I got fitted for a new hybrid. Pumped! The Titleist fitter warned me before I bought it, it could take 4-6 weeks and possibly longer before I get it. No problem, well aware of this (Demand Supply). Last Friday, still nothing so what did I do? Instead of posting on here, I called the place I purchased from and simply requested a status update. "Sir, we apologize let us call Titleist and see what we can find out for you." Within 5 minutes I got a call back that they spoke with Titleist, saw the order and pushed it through so it can be shipped out within the next few weeks. I didn't even ASK for it to be escalated, just looking for a status, that's it. Was blown away by the response and this gave me one more reason why I love Titleist. DONE!

Keep in mind demand is HUGE right now in the golf industry, I've never seen anything like it and supply is not there, economy 101. Just gotta be patient and wait. And remember call the place you ORDERED from, don't post on here.

Also, if you break a club or having issues with a club, call customer service. There's been a few times I had issues and called customer service and a 100% of the time my experience has been fantastic. Here's the number; The Titleist Golf Clubs Warranty and Repairs Department may be reached at 800-742-7609.

Ok, let's have a fun years TT! Peace and love

Thanks for sharing your experience. Often times, people won't post positive experiences and the negative ones tend to dominate.

Great post speedy. Dead on. Shipping to get products for FJ and Titleist is a major issue and the backlogs are tremendous. We as loyalists and consumers need to be patient and supportive. They are doing the very best they can. I commend them on the job they are doing. Kudos. =)

I don't know what you guys are talking about. Over the past 6 years I have ordered 2 sets of irons, one driver, 2 hybrids, one wedge, and just a few months ago a new U510. All of them were through an authorized dealer and all delivered within 2 weeks. Maybe it's a west coast privilege.

I ordered slate blue Vokey custom wedges and they were also good about letting me know about the back log of orders before taking my credit card. My TSi1 hybrid arrived ahead of schedule so no complaints with how the orders are being handled. It's not just golf. I ordered a new car in early November and told 6-8 weeks. It has now been over four months and the car has sitting in a port in Bremerhaven, Germany for two weeks with no indication it will move anytime soon. At least Titleist responds and tries to help. Mercedes couldn't seem to care less.
  6. A good friendly reminder, most of us have that back up club to hold us over anyhow. Patience is a virtue.

Right on Speedy... congrats on the new stick!
I also had a similar experience like yours with my wedges, around the same time.
Our pro shop said 3-4 weeks. On the fourth week I asked for any news.
Pro shop got back with me saying they're waiting on shafts.
March 3rd, I got a call back from pro shop- clubs are in!
Simple, painless, and I'm very happy!
(w*ine and cheese are optional, but not necessary :-)

I was also well aware of the wait time from what I've heard and read here and other local channels and it goes for all manufacturers. So I anticipated it and as long as I had something to use, I was fine with the wait.

Wonderful post on how to handle a situation that is truly out of the buyers control. I always try to start with where I purchased first. usually I get a creditable answer and we move forward.

    Enjoy your clubs.

  9. Ordered a custom (mildly custom) TSi2 fairway in Feb at a dealer. Paperwork said 15 business days, minimum. It took seven calendar days, which included a three day weekend (President's Day in U.S.). Blown away by the speedy turnaround. Yes, maybe because I'm 1 hour drive from Carlsbad, but that would be smallest of the variables. Titleist is awesome.

Please bear in mind that Titleist will not discuss any of our orders placed through third parties. You obviously have a relationship with your third party. Others might be less fortunate. Perhaps out of frustration they are using this forum to vent their frustration with the process. Could be the third party's fault, but in the customer's mind it is Titleist. Bottom line, when a commitment is blown, the customer deserves info.

Just an FYI, I do not have a relationship with this 3rd party. I called them and explained I ordered this hybrid back on Feb. 10th and just looking for a status. They told me they would call Titleist and get back to me which they did. I'm just another customer like everyone else.

The reason of my post is to at least make an effort to contact the 3rd party. If they blow you off, then sure post about your experience or even call the Titleist customer service. Totally agree the customer deserves information about an order, just don't think posting about it will help any. My 2 cents.

    All the best GW! Cheers

And to conclude my hybrid (23 degree, TSi1 w/ Tensi shaft) arrived yesterday afternoon. All due to a simple phone call. Great service all around.

I do hope things get better soon but doesn't look promising. Talked to a Pro the other night and it's been a struggle for him to get any orders in. He ordered new range balls last month for his course and he won't get them until JULY.... Tough times but life goes on. Courses are open and we're making divots great again!

I'm sure Titleist would love to fulfill every order over night but just not gonna happen with the limited supplies (grips, shaft or whatever it is) they have. Just gotta be happy with what you have, be patience and keep showing your love for Titleist.

    Peace and love!
