I felt a little neurotic yesterday when I took 3 clubs in to be re-gripped. The clubs were new (TSi2 hybrid, and two SM8 steel blue wedges). The hybrid had to be re-gripped because it just had the stock Titleist grip. As far as the wedges, I paid extra for the MCC Plus Align in gray and red to match the rest of my set. The retailer that I ordered them from sent the correct grips, except that the color was white instead of gray.

Does anybody else have OCD about their golf equipment?

As long as the grips are GolfPride MCC Plus 4 Midsize with one extra wrap, I am happy........all my fairways and wedge are grey and the irons are blue......does not affect my swing....with respect....

Well just had my clubs regripped in that they were about fifteen months old and after playing three days a week in the hot and humid weather along the coast of SC, "felt" like it was time. The shops around here were completely out of stock of the "grey GolfPride MCC Plus4 Midsize grips". You know, worldwide shortages. I did contact GolfPride and was I was able to order them with a limit on how many I could order. Must have caught them on the right day. All the clubs in my bag look alike and feel great and am ready for the TTI in September. Sure makes a difference. Think I might have picked up a yard of two. =)

I finally just switched all my grips to the MCC+4. Consistency is key!

Of course I do. Not just my golf stuff but yes, especially my golf stuff. I go all black with the grips to match, must mark all balls the same way, and have to make sure the clubs sit in the correct order within the bag.

I wouldn't necessarily bring it to the "OCD" level but I do appreciate having things match. In order not to hijack this thread, I'll keep my post related to grips. All my long clubs (driver, woods and hybrids) all have the same grip color. My irons (5 - 9) have the same grip color and my wedges have the same grip color; basically I have 3 different colors for all my clubs (except putter which is a Super Stroke) but they are all the same brand and make which is the Golf Pride MCC Plus4. As you can probably figure out, I have a pattern.
  7. I put a Golf Pride CP2 Pro grip on any club I purchase before I put it into play. That grip just feels good on these 61 year old arthritic hands. Much more durable than the other softer grips I have played.

First thing I do when I get a new club is throw a Z cord on it, I wont play any other grip.

Oh yeah, i feel ya! I definitely get my clubs all gripped the same. It would drive me crazy otherwise!
  10. I am a bit "orderly" myself. The grips are the same, if a club ends up in the wrong spot in the bag, my first thought is I must have left it on the last hole. Goes back to my days of working in kitchens, mise en place, everything in its place ready to go.

Many many times I thought I would get my driver & hybrids a different color grip in the MCC +4 Standard & every time I stay with the Grey just like my irons are. When I played the red/grey all matched. All my clubs have their place in my bag. Training aides go in the right pocket & towels in the left pocket. Alignment sticks next to my Utility Iron.

Just can't break the habit of matching.. Lol

    Same here, but Midsize!
  14. I like to have my wedge grips to be a different color than my iron grips for some reason. I also prefer the grips for my woods to be as simple as possible. So right now I have woods w/ Tour Velvet + 3 right hand tape, Mcc +4 align on Irons and MCC + 4 grey (no align) on my wedges.
  15. Yes, I'm the same way.

I'm totally OCD about my grips. Usually every Christmas I'll get them re-gripped. This year I went with the old school (tan) look and love them. Am pretty OCD in general and have to wear either Titleist/Footjoy everything when I play/practice.

I'm going to all red tour wrap, harder to "leave " one on/near a green.

I like all my grips to match. I need to have the same feel in my hands no matter what club it is. When I get new clubs all the grips will need to match.
  20. I would but I just keep the standard grip on till it's worn then chance it out. I just buy whatevers cheapest at the time then fit it myself.

I use Golf Pride Tour Wrap. I have most that are white (that is what was available when I re-gripped) and some that are black, as I had several of those leftover from last time. They all feel the same and are wrapped the same. No big deal
  22. I did this last year and won't do anything else. I never had my wedges match my irons. I go with the Golf Pride CP2 Mid Size blue.

I usually have Golf Pride MCC plus 4 grey & blue on my sticks. But for some reason I decided to experiment with my extra clubs this springs.
Depending on conditions I have a couple of wedges with more bounce that I switch out, and if its real windy I have utility 3I that will take over for my 21° hybrid. They all have Golf Pride CP2 mid blue/black. madgolferhitemstraight
