Other than being the equivalent of the MCC with 4 wraps on the bottom, and being a little smoother, are there any major differences in the two? I’ve heard that the Plus 4 can help someone who hooks the ball, but I have the opposite on occasion.

The extra "wraps" in the bottom portion is designed to lessen the pressure from the right hand (if you're a right handed golfer). If that helps with hooking the ball then, it's a good grip. I play with the Plus 4 in all my clubs and for me, it's all about how it feels on my hand since I don't have much of a problem with hooking the ball.

The MCC Plus 4 has a wider base to minimize the bottom hand from rolling over and causing a hook. It's a little heavier than the MCC grip as well.
I would start with getting properly fit for grip size and hands are all different sizes and then find the best grip for you in the correct size.

I play the MCC +4 standard because I like the larger right hand & I can play a mid grip but sometimes they feel bulky from top to bottom. The taper of the MCC +4 gives me a nice feel with both hands. As for hooking the ball, I hit a draw even with standard grips & never really hooked those so I can't say except the larger the grip the quieter the hands will be throughout the swing.

Hook & slice are typically swing path issues more than grips, but a larger grip could lessen the hand roll of the club.

As I have gotten older I prefer the midsize grips and the MCC Plus 4 provides a great feeling grip. One additional wrap on mine. Nothing but GolfPride for me.

Went with the midsize plus 4. It just felt so nice in my hands when compared to the midsize MCC.

I just went with all +4 grips, and my hard draw turned into a slight draw. I dont turn my hands over as much with the +4.
