  1. Sometimes you can not believe how good a bad shot turns out.

I know we hate seeing a bad shot but sometimes you get lucky with it and can be the difference between a decent hole or a card destroyer

    What do you think?

Very true. The way not to make it a card destroyer is to put it behind you and move on to the next hole. Play the game one hole at a time, as my teacher keeps telling me. Easy to say, hard to do. I have those three to four holes just about every round. Those Prov1s just bounce funny sometimes. The life of a 15 handicapper. Golf is a crazy game and here it comes, it is 90% mental and the other 10% is in your head. If I could only get rid of that 90%, I would be a good golfer. Reminds me of a funny saying by Groucho Marx, when asked as he was playing a Dr; "his patent comments, it hurts when I do this, then don't do it". Is funny, but can relate it to golf. I am working effortlessly to eliminate those bad shots because they can repeat themselves. Some days it works. Fairways and greens.....cz

I had one of those situations last weekend...and luck won!
  5. It's now how, it's how many. Although I would rather be good than lucky, as I think being good puts you in a betters spot to be lucky, I am well aware the golf gods giveth, and the golf gods taketh away. As in life, you have to learn how to take the good with the bad.

I don't know. I feel like my joy in golf comes from well executed shots, and not always results. Have a had a few birdies when I completely bladed a wedge from 80 yards out and they ran up the fairway and stopped pin high. Never more than 3 feet off the ground. And thats just a bad feeling. The scorecard looks good. But I'd oddly rather aim middle of the green, hit my intended flight, see the desired spin on the ball stop it on the spot. And maybe walk away with a par but knowing I hit 4 good shots on the hole.
