Have to see where the TTI takes us this year. Hoping to get down to Harbour Town, HHI, other than work. Planning on going to Scandinavia and Russia in June, but unfortunately not on a golfing trip. My other vice, an art trip.
  4. Safe travels Chuck!

    Hi TT:

The buddy trip this year will be to the Monterey Peninsula. Pebble twice, Spyglass, Spanish Bay and The Hay. Have been waiting for 50 years, will be soaking up every minute.

Spyglass my favorite. That area is a great place to hang out, enjoy the beauty of the area, and of course some awesome golf. Drop by the Pacific Grove Municipal Golf Course for a fun back nine. Think you will enjoy it. Some great places to eat in Monterey and Carmel. Monterey, Pacific Grove and Carmel all run together. When we go out to visit San Francisco (spent our honeymoon there in 1978 and I was employed as a District Manager with Levi Strauss in the SE), we always drive down for a couple of days. San Diego area is another great place to go on a guys trip as is Palm Springs. Can always add to that bucket list. Main thing have fun. =)
  10. Thanks Chuck!

Just got back myself. Pebble was a treat. Weather was perfect. Now Spanish Bay, that was a different story. Was wishing I had brought some low spin balls. Got really windy and pushed me all over the place. Was still a blast though. And gorgeous. Have fun!
  12. Thanks, heard the wind can play havoc!

Noah sounds pretty sweet! Make sure to upload some pics!
  14. Wow sounds amazing!
My number one goal to tick off this year is to play the old course at St Andrews!
  15. Thanks, hopefully your trip to Scotland goes as planned.

Just got back from a Tremendous golf vacation. Played Cyprus Point, Pebble Beach. Olympic Club, Harding Park, and San Francisco Golf Club. These were truly spectacular golf venues. The next trip will be sometime in March and play some great Florida Golf courses. I am waiting for the Next generation of Titleist drivers to come out. They are the best in golf right now. Also, Vokey should be coming out with new wedges soon. Going to be another spectacular year for Titleist. Happy New Year!
  17. Hack2er,
Sounds like a great trip. Played Innisbrook last year, recommend it if you haven't been.

  20. Hi Rob,

Thanks, I have heard that course is great, hopefully we will have a little extra time to check it out.

    Have a great trip, Erich.

If you have any room for one more round Pasatiempo is not that far from Pebble. Well worth the effort to play there.

Great trip. Been about 10 years since I played there.
  23. Hi Terry,
I see the Snake Pit in the background, was there last year.
  24. Sounds like a fantastic trip! Enjoy. It's been just over a year since my trip to Pebble. Loved it!
  25. Thanks, will be looking forward to it most of the year.

Have a great time on the Monterey Peninsula! My wife and I spend a lot of time in the area as we only live 1hr. 20 minutes from PB. We've been going there for so many years that I recently figured out that we've eaten at more than 50 restaurants on the Monterey Peninsula. I get to play The Hay for free and the next time I will try to play with just my Scotty.
  27. Thanks Bruce, you are about 3,000 miles closer than I am to Pebble. I have heard you can putt The Hay, might give it a try.

    Erich,

If you'd like any restaurant suggestions I'd be happy to give you some including cheap to fine dining depending on what you and your buddie's like plus bars. Since you're staying on property you will have access to the Beach & Tennis Club at Pebble. The Beach Club dining is only open from I think 11:30 - 2:30 and the views are amazing of Stillwater Cove, Carmel bay and the 17th at Pebble.
If you can play Pasatiempo I would do it as I love playing this Alister MacKenzie course. It's approximately a 50 minute drive from Pebble. Lucky for me I live about 35 minutes from Pasatiempo.
  29. Hi Bruce,

With the turn of the calendar, my buddies and i are turning our eyes West in anticipation of our Pebble trip. would love to take you up on your restaurant recommendations if you get a chance. Thanks
  30. Hi Bruce:

Thanks, might be back in touch for some recommendations after we finalize details. I don't think Pasatiempo is in the cards this time around, maybe next time.
