I know many of you are awaiting golf related gifts and stuffing your faces with delicious food. While doing so, don't forget to spend quality time with your loved ones. Especially those with elderly parents.

My spring/summer was already a bummer because I pinched nerve in my back effectively ending my golf season early on. Then in September, my father had a stroke and passed away a little over a month later. This is the first Christmas without any of my folks and it's heartbreaking.

Today, do a favor for a TT member in Oregon and show some love to your folks. I know it's cliche, but someday they really will be gone and you won't be the same after it happens.

Sorry to hear about your loss, Rick. I lost my father in the early 2000's and I'm fortunate to still have my mom around (she hit the big 9-0 this year).

I agree that if the opportunity exists, spend as much time with your elderly loved ones because as you and I know well, you can't predict when those days will be few and far between.
