Had a full shoulder replacement this past November. Been working very hard with therapy and hoping for a full recovery. Anyone else have any experience with this surgery/recovery? I’m 12 1/2 weeks post up

  2. Hi Joe,

Best of luck with your recovery.

Joe, wishing you all the best.
I do know that therapy sesh and after is the best thing you could do- more power to you.
I'll be going in for repair myself, but it won't be full shoulder. Mine is taking a while to take place- insurance issues.

Please keep us all posted here.

I had reconstructive shoulder surgery, 8 months post op. It took me about 12-15 months on other shoulder before it felt normal, I am still working thru this one. I can tell you to follow everything the PT tells you and don't push it. I can swing a club pain free and I am longer and more flexible now.

Any injury is a total nightmare buddy.
Just take your time and don’t rush back!
I dislocated my shoulder and kept on trying to play golf.
I then tore some muscles in my rotator cuff.
After two years out from playing golf and many physio sessions, lots of acupuncture and a couple of cortisone injections, I’m finally pain free.
Handicap has went from 6 to 19 though ️‍♂️

Best of luck with your recovery. I'm dealing with recovery myself. They tell me the nerves take time and be patient. Easier said than done. Hoping you get back out there soon!
    Play Well ,

Used to go play Atlantis GC in Tuckerton with my Dad and his friends back in the 80’s
