So I'll preface this to say that I understand the shipping & manufacture delays. But let me ask why this occurs. I placed an order for the Titleist T100s/200 combo set last year, in September, and was told it could be early '22 until it was done. Which I was fine with. Now I'm being told late May for my original KBS shafts. Disappointed? Yes, of course, I've waited this long but was willing to wait a few more months. So since I have to wait anyway, I asked just to change to the newly released KBS Tour Lite shafts. Now here is where it gets tricky. I've been told by my rep that I "could" change the shafts, but it could possibly be pushed back even further. Why? Because it's like starting a whole new order. They can't guarantee that the original heads can get "matched" to those shafts in the original order, so new heads need to be produced & these heads will be used in another order. Instead of saying "hey, let's keep these heads over here in this pile & wait for the shafts to come in, then we will build it." Then it would be on or about the same timeframe, right? I don't get it? I'll bet if I was a Tour Player, this wouldn't be an issue. They would "find" the shafts & heads with no problem. But apparently TT members get the short end of the stick. Signed, frustrated golfer patiently waiting ......

My buddy is in a similar wait pattern. Its his first new set of Titleist irons (combo set as well) in way too many years. All I can say is this. The wait will be worth it. Hang in there!

At this point you should start to look at something other than KBS shafts. They are nearly impossible to get, and will be for the near future.

As for the Tour players getting equipment, of course they do. There is a group that only makes their clubs and some of the manufacturers will supply shafts to Titleist just for the Tour. This is nothing new.

It doesn't matter if I was looking for KBS or Project X, it still goes in as a new order regardless.

Sorry to hear about the delays in your order. That just seems to be the reality of the times. I have family that ordered bedroom furniture last August and it’s not expected to arrive until May. All industries have been affected but the uptick in golf sales has only made the situation harder for golf manufacturers to keep up. I hope they come sooner than later for you! And maybe your patience will pay off on the course!

This is posted on the very top of Golfworks site on the internet.

DUE TO A HIGH DEMAND, UNPRECEDENTED SHIPPING VOLUMES BEING EXPERIENCED BY OUR SHIPPING PARTNERS AND CARRIERS AND THE COVID RELATED DELAYS, THERE MAY BE SOME MINOR DELAYS IN ORDER DELIVERY.

Everyone is having the same problems. The minor problems have now become major. We have 30 ships sitting out in the ocean (here in Charleston) waiting to be docked and unloaded. Some freight has been shifted from the west coast to the east coast. We have a new dock in place but due to a pending union law suit the foreign ships fear off loading there. Read they do not see 2022 getting any better. Receiving of goods in all industries is a real problem for for everyone. Wholesale to retail to consumer. My neighbor is a homebuilder/contractor and the renovation on his home is at least six months behind because of delays in getting materials and appliances. We can ramble on about cause and facts. We all feel your pain. With respect. =(

It's our own fault. We all wanted lower prices and immediate availability. We've been suckered into the belief that we need to upgrade our equipment every time a new line comes out, and manufacturers were suckered into getting cheap parts from overseas.

Just cannot see that manufacturer's were suckered into buying overseas shafts. Only one brand of shafts made in USA, Penley and based of my research on the internet. searching for golf shafts made in the USAF. They make driver shafts. As to being suckered in upgrading every cycle, not me, I make the choice when I feel I need them. Like life, it is about choices, and if I choose to jump on everything new coming out then the fault falls on me, not the manufacturer. Until the pandemic hit, we did not have complaints or issues with delivery of our clubs, shoes or apparel. Guess that COVID 19 has cheapened the products coming in from overseas, that we previously praised. Three suggestions for the dilemma that we all are dealing with; patience, patience, patience. With respect. =)

Stand corrected. True Temper has a massive facility located in Armory, Monroe County, Mississippi. That did not show up on the list of shafts manufacturer in the US.

The other part of your question is about why the heads may be changed. Cast or forged, the manufactured weight will vary. Based on swing weight specified and the weight of the other components, the original heads may now be too heavy for the lighter shaft. Titleist segregates the heads on receiving based on weight ranges. So, there is credence to what the rep told you.
  12. i agree with 19hole - kbs shafts are delayed indefinitely. The "matching" of your irons to the shafts is actually a great attention to detail that Titleist does, they batch several different weighted heads to be used for different lengths/shafts to ensure proper swingweight. I would do a re-fitting and try some different shafts, there are plenty of good choices with better lead times. Certain kbs shafts are now showing 2023 eta.

All forged and cast heads vary in weight. On receiving them, Titleist sorts them by weight ranges. So with a lighter shaft, they may have to reach into a different weight bin for the altered order. The rep’s comments are relevant.
On the production line they can add some hot melt but they can’t grind excess weight.
Shaft supplies affect all the OEMs. In January the TT DG S200 was delaying wedges for custom orders. Even though it is the stock shaft (and has been), a LH otherwise stock wedge is custom ordered. If Vokey can’t get enough of those shafts??

    Yes... $-Taper shafts!
  18. I have been in the same position, order placed Aug 2021. (First new set in 15 yrs moving on from my 05 RAC MB’s). Keep receiving new ship dates, finally got told 3 weeks ago they were going in for build. Thought I’d follow up today, and now been told my KBS Tour S+ are not available and out of production and would be most likely Sept.

Titleist rep said to pick a new shaft. I contacted my fitter at the National Centre, and was quick to respond about working to get me in for a fit as soon as possible. It was surprised, and said another has been added to the “Dead” list.

It’s just unfortunate that a decision couldn’t have been made sooner on this. Positive i have is the staff at the fitting centre have been great…
  19. The delay stinks and all of us are not used to waiting like this. It's like going back 20 years or more. It's crazy people are waiting several months for their order to be fulfilled. Good thing Titleist doesn't release new models every 6 months like other manufactures, otherwise your set would be outdated by the time you receive the order. I'm currently waiting on a Tsi3 Driver and 3 metal. I hope it gets finished and shipped soon.

Haven't ready any of the comments on here but I heard that Titleist received a batch of shafts that didn't meet there standards and had to ship them back. So maybe that is why it got pushed back again!

It's quite frustrating to be waiting for equipment when such lengthy delays have not been commonplace for decades. But, think of the other side. Do you think that KBS wants to delay shipping shafts to club manufacturers? Does it help them, or the manufacturers, to be unable to ship product to sell?

This is obviously not a great situation for manufacturers nor for retail customers. The increase in golf participation due to COVID certainly isn't helping the conditions of supply vs. demand, either.

Please be patient. Good things come to those who wait!

Supposedly the KBS shafts were being shipped to all manufacturers in the last week of February. I'll believe it when I see it. By the time I get them, the next iteration will be out & mine will be obsolete. Oh well ... I'm thinking about just canceling the order all together. :(

I work PT at my local golf store, doing repairs, fittings and sales. KBS shafts right now are pretty rare commodity, we have pretty good luck with project x which is True Temper. True Temper is made here in the USA, and ramp up production. Certain heads are the hold up for certain irons, the 100s has been a tough one here. Hope all works out.

Unfortunately we just live in a different world right now when it comes to supply chain, especially with products coming from overseas (pre-assembled or not).

Placed an order three weeks ago for some gear (backpack, luggage bag, gloves, etc.), balls, wedges (SM9s), irons (5 & 6 T200), utility iron (4 T200 with Tour AD IZ-95), and Scotty (Newport 2).

Received the gear and balls first in about a 1.5 - 2 weeks. Just received the irons and utility iron in about 2.5 - 3 weeks. Now just waiting on the Vokeys and Scotty.

Fingers crossed they arrive before a Spanish Bay trip in two weeks.
  25. I placed my order for T100 irons with KBS Tour shafts in August '21. I received them in February. I was told multiple times that I could switch shafts, but that could potentially lead to further delays. The wait was long, but I am happy that I waited versus changing shafts.

I got fitted last week, pretty standard across the board. Rather than order I posted a request on social media and found my exact specs. Seller had ordered and received months later. In the mean time he purchased another brand and chose to sell the T100s. I was very fortunate and will have by mid week. So pumped
