I'll be out in the Oceanside, CA area in June and wondered if anyone could advise me where to play a couple of rounds between my daughter's soccer matches. I'll actually be right across the road from the Titleist Performance Institute. Wish I could afford to book a time! Travel soccer is EXPENSIVE!

@DMorrison...playing with these two may be more fun than spending time at TPI ;-)

I thought I replied earlier but the site timed-out for maintenance, so if you get two versions of this, you're not crazy and neither am I.

I really appreciate the invite! Much depends on my daughter's schedule and the wife's plans, but I'm all in. FYI, my son will be with me, if that matters. And keep in mind (if this works out) that there was a time in my youth that I was better than decent, but I'm just getting back into the game, so don't laugh too hard. My handicap is down to 9 since I really started back last summer following a long hiatus. I'm on my way, though. Maybe by June, I'll be more to my former form.

No pressure at all! And at a 9 you're right in my and Dale's wheelhouse for index so should be a fun game. I can't book tee times more than 2 weeks in advance but shoot Dale a note at 2vinsons@cox.net (he won't get bombarded with custom support tickets!) and we'll get it dialed in.

I assume Dale will know what I’m talking about when I message him…

    Again, thanks for the invite!

I had the chance to play with both Dale and Allan in the last San Diego TT event. Had an absolute blast. Great company, great time. Happily would do it again.

Probably will work out depending on the date. We will be in Michigan 18-21 June for the American Dunes event and I will be in TX 9-13 June for my 45th High School Reunion and visiting family. I will keep it on the radar.
  12. 45th reunion! You don't look that old in your photo...

    My 50th is this year...

Thanks Ed. Yep, it was from 2016 so I probably should update it someday. Maybe I can get a good one from Ireland next week.
  14. Aviara in Carlsbad, Arrowood in Oceanside,
  15. FYI - if you are unfamiliar with SoCal coastal weather, June can be very nice, but more often cold/damp, especially in morning and at night. We can get quite chilled around here in June. Layers are de rigeur...

Be Sure to hit up Goat Hill Park!!!
Right down the street from the Oceanside Soccer Complex!
Great spot to check out between soccer matches.
Also- Frazier Farm Markets (next to Goat) is a good spot for post game smoothies etc.

    Cheers,
    Dr. K

  17. Always wanted to play Goat Hill - is it difficult to get a time?

    DMorrison-

Have fun, what a great opportunity.

If you get the chance for more another round, I highly suggest playing Goat Hill in Oceanside. Very fun, laid back.

Try the Crossings at Carlsbad. It is a very interesting golf course. The holes are amazing. You will always remember it.
