    They finally opened the new PopStroke in Sarasota yesterday. We went today and they let you use your own putter if you bring it. Scotty helped me to a 2 under 43. Pretty cool place.

    Like Top Golf, ventures like these will bring more people to the game of golf. The only wrinkle I could see is bringing all the noise and energy normally seen at these venues out to a traditional golf course. Personally, I'm one who doesn't mind someone playing music and enjoying their time on the course if they're courteous and respectful to those around them.

    Bringing entertainment, food and beverage, a gathering spot and some fun golf. Sounds like a party has showed up and some golf might be involved. For the young at heart. Bless you hearts. =)

    I found the venue rather subdued, with most people watching other holes while waiting on the tee box to get some reads for their turn. Being in such close quarters many folks tend to cheer on other players good putts on neighboring holes. I'm sure later in the evening as the brewskys flow things may get rambunctious but all in all it's a cool place. Coldest draft beer we've had in awhile.
