  1. Wondering who here using a remote golf cart? and wondering if anyone know about the difference between Li battery vs acid batteries in regards to practical use. in regards if only playing once a day, does one need the upgrade for the Li battery?

Also. just wondering who uses a battery cart vs just a push cart?

    thanks

I do have a remote controlled electric cart. From my basic understanding between lithium batteries vs acid batteries, I believe the lithium batteries are lighter and require minimal to no maintenance which means they will last longer than their acid counterparts. I live in a household that has multiple people who play golf, so the remote controlled cart is shared between us. We also have manual push carts. I generally walk and carry when I play my home course.

If I was to give you a recommendation, I would go with the lithium powered electric cart and I do know they may be more pricey.

Do not have one as of yet. My friend has the Bat Caddy with the upgraded battery and loves it. Once I get my government check I am looking to get that same BatCaddy X4R

"Im old n lazy... It follows me or I can send it on its way!" A quote worth repeating, Todd. Almost fell out of my chair when I read that. Humor in uniform. Cheers, pal. =)

I have an MGI cart, opted to not get the $400 upgrade for remote. I joined a course that is built through a residential area with longer green to tee hikes, and some up and down topography. The Li battery is good for 2 full 18 hole rounds. Walking behind a cart helps me focus on the next shot. Driving the cart remotely just seems like a distraction.
  7. I have a remote controlled Kangaroo with a lithium battery. The lithium battery is way lighter and smaller than a regular battery. I store my cart at the club, and take the battery home to charge, and it’s a lot easier handling the lithium battery. I really think there is no difference in performance, but the lithium just seems to be more convenient.

I have the Stewart Golf Q-Follow which replaced my X9 a few years ago. Fabulous cart and the follow feature is fantastic. I can get 36 holes easy (well easy for the cart anyway!) and have charge to spare. Highly recommended.
